DreamArt - Fantasy Art Gallery
Today I am checking out a few more art galleries. These will probably be the final art galleries that I visit for my paper, for the simple fact that there are a lot more parts of my essay that have yet to be visited. Anyways, one of the places I visited today was DreamArt's Fantasy Art Gallery. A simple search for "Art Gallery" in the search bar lead me to here.
As I walk in the door, I first realize I am not a lone. Another "Second-Lifer" is browsing the Gallery. In attempts to converse, the middle-aged women looking avatar stands motionless, and then disappears. Oh well.
This gallery is filled with fiction paintings of many fiction things ranging from weird aliens, to rabbits bigger than humans, to half naked angel girls. Creepy? I think so, just not my style. It's how I am with books as well. If it's not real, then I don't really like it.
Overall though, this place is pretty neat. I really enjoy the atmosphere. It's got "log cabin" like walls, a big rug, and a fire place----very homey.
There is one thing I don't like though, and it's the stupid little cat that purrs and meows every 10 seconds. I actually have to mute my computer it's that annoying.

Thursday March 10th
Today I visited the TreeBeard Art Museum. I've read good reviews from a few online sites (http://secondlife.com/destination/treebeard-art-gallery-and-museum), so figured I'd take a peek. As I teleport there, the area is filled with the relaxing sounds of waves crashing on the beach (which almost puts me to sleep, its so relaxing :) ) and crickets chirping. Setting the mood to view art from all different areas, while in a relaxed/mellow mood. So far, I really dig this place.
As I walk into the first room, I'm cheerfully greated by beautiful pictures of mother nature (birds, mountain islands), along witht he not so beautiful nude pictures of some kind of unattarctive women. But hey, it's art I guess!
As I walk through the whole museum, I am provided a generous area to 'lounge' in. With a relaxing fire place and great overall atmosphere, this would be a really cool place to meet new people, but there is no one here, just me.
Here is a piece of art that I thought was super wierd. It's a photo of 2 naked girls in the bathroom, one getting her teeth brushed by an octopus that lives int he toilet. WIERD!

2nd thesis statement AND intro
Hey Dr. C. I apologize for this being so late. I'll tell you the truth, last week I was at home almost all week helping out with my grandma, and was just overloaded, throwing me off in my school work. But anyways, my Second Essay topic is going to be Theater, Museums, and Art in Second Life.
"Art is what you make it". This is a common definition given to such a broad topic. One's personal views as to what "art" really is, can vary dramatically from another persons. Different types of art include (but are not limited to) music, painting, architecture, acting, and theater. Surprisingly, the world we know best as Second Life, has all of these sub categories of art and more! Many different types of art have been compiled into Second Life in form of Museums, Theaters, and Art galleries, giving the artsy individual a blank "canvas" to paint their personality with endless possibilities.
That's what I have so far, I appreciate your time.
Craig
